Roach was an attorney in Crawfordsville, was elected prosecuting-attorney for the Judicial Circuit Court, was secretary-treasurer of the Clip Body Company, and later sheriff of the Indiana Supreme Court. The collection includes Roach’s business correspondence regarding patents for his wagon making business in Crawfordsville, Indiana, especially Roach’s and Merrick Y. Buck’s patent with the Studebaker Brothers Manufacturing Company of South Bend, Indiana.
